Romania's Monsson Energy connects 24 MWh battery energy storage system to national grid, part of a 216 MWh hybrid renewable project by year-end.

Romania's Monsson Energy has connected the country's largest battery energy storage system, a 24 MWh unit, to the national grid as part of a planned 216 MWh project by year-end. The system is part of a hybrid renewable energy project, including a 50 MW wind farm and a 35 MW solar photovoltaic project. Romanian company Prime Batteries Technology supplied the Lithium-Ion batteries for the project, which aims to increase renewable energy penetration in national grids by hybridizing solar, wind, and storage energies.
