A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on Hershberger Road NW, Roanoke, resulting in serious injuries. The pedestrian was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment. The driver cooperated with the ongoing investigation, with no indication of impairment. Westbound lanes of Hershberger Road NW between Bean Street and Williamson Road NW were closed for a while, but have since reopened.
