Hong Kong Customs seized 146 kg of suspected smuggled gold, the largest gold-smuggling case detected on record in terms of seizure value, at the Hong Kong International Airport. The gold was found in two air compressors, disguised as motor cores, screws, and gears, and was valued at around HK$84 million. The arrest of a 31-year-old man connected to the case is ongoing, with investigations ongoing.
