India's Enforcement Directorate has attached 413 agricultural land parcels in Sindhudurg district, Maharashtra, with a registered value of Rs 52.90 crore, under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The land parcels were connected to the Punjab & Maharashtra Co-operative Bank (PMC) loan fraud case involving proceeds of crime amounting to Rs 82.30 crore during 2010-2013. ED initiated the investigation based on the FIR filed by Mumbai Police's Economic Offence Wing (EOW) against PMC Bank directors and others.
