Ghana's President signs new Wildlife Resources Management Act.

Ghana's President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has signed the Wildlife Resources Management Act, 2024 (Act 1115) into law, replacing outdated wildlife regulations from the 1960s and 1970s. The new law introduces stricter penalties, establishes Community Resources Management Areas (CREMAs) for local community involvement, and ensures Ghana's compliance with international wildlife conventions such as RAMSAR and CITES.
