Former Warren police officer Matthew Rodriguez has pleaded guilty to a federal civil rights violation after assaulting a 19-year-old Black man during an arrest. Rodriguez admitted to using "unreasonable force" against the young man while processing him in the fingerprint room at the Warren jail in June. The officer was fired from the police department and faces sentencing in court.
