Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has signed two bills to address the opioid epidemic in the state, raising penalties for exposing police officers to fentanyl and promoting awareness of life-saving measures for opioid overdose victims. The bills, Senate Bill 718 and Senate Bill 66, were signed at a news conference at the Seminole County Sheriff's Office Professional Development Center in Sanford, Florida.
