The EU's Peace Plus programme is investing €165 million to enhance cross-border rail services between Dublin and Belfast, with the aim of reducing journey times to under two hours and improving accessibility and passenger experience. The existing four Enterprise trains will be replaced with eight new, modern, and sustainable train-sets by the end of the decade, supporting net-zero carbon emissions goals and easier access for citizens and businesses.
