96 DNA matches have been found in 1,147 suspended sexual assault investigation cases in Houston, through the Combined DNA Index System (CODIS). Houston Police Department (HPD) is collaborating with the Harris Forensic Science Center and the Harris County District Attorney's Office to review and improve workflow processes related to CODIS. HPD Chief Troy Finner has directed all Special Victims Division incidents coded "Suspended: lack of personnel" to be sent for review.
