Blue Owl Capital acquires Prima Capital Advisors, a commercial mortgage-backed securities firm, in a $170M deal.

Blue Owl Capital, a NY-based alternative asset manager, enters real estate finance market with $170M acquisition of Prima Capital Advisors, specializing in commercial mortgage-backed securities. Expected to close in Q2-Q3 2024, Prima's employees will join Blue Owl, and Jesse Hom, former Global Head of Real Estate Credit at GIC, joins as CIO for real estate platform. The deal follows Blue Owl's recent $750M acquisition of Kuvare Asset Management.
