A Bengaluru woman lawyer fell victim to cyber criminals who posed as FedEx representatives, extorting Rs 14.57 lakh and forcing her to strip on video call for a "narcotics test". The fraudsters deceived her by claiming she was involved in a case of human trafficking, money laundering, and identity theft. The incident occurred between April 3 and 5, and a complaint was registered at the Bengaluru East division cybercrime police station.
