Acting GRA Commissioner-General intervenes in $45m HIV/AIDS, TB, & Malaria drug dispute at Tema port, working with ministries for release.
Acting Commissioner-General of Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Julie Essiam, intervenes in a dispute over $45 million worth of pharmaceutical products locked up at the Tema port, intended for the fight against HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria. GRA will collaborate with the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Health to follow proper procedures and release the goods. The first batch of 12 bills for the pharmaceutical products is expected to be dispatched by the end of the week.
