A Winnipeg Transit bus caught fire at the Fort Rouge Transit garage on Osborne Street, but no one was injured. Firefighters responded to the fire alarm at 10:30 pm and had the fire under control by 11 pm. The cause of the fire is under investigation, with initial observations suggesting it was not suspicious. A second unrelated fire at a one-and-a-half storey home on Andrews Street was caused by an electrical hair straightener.
