The US Navy awarded a contract to rocket propulsion start-up Ursa Major to develop and test solid fuel rocket engines for its Standard Missile program. This is part of the US Navy's efforts to address increasing demand for engines and expand its industrial base for manufacturing them. Ursa Major will use its Lynx production process, which incorporates additive manufacturing, to design a reliable, high-performing motor for the Mk 104 rocket motor.
