Romanian Smart City Association (ARSC) awarded 60 urban projects worth €2bn ($2.3bn) at the 8th edition of Smart City Industry Awards (SCIA 8). ARSC granted 39 prizes in eight categories, showcasing growing interest in smart city projects in Romania. The awards highlight innovations in mobility, urban transport, infrastructure, data security, and digital/sustainability transformations. Over 1,300 smart city/village projects are currently underway in Romania.
