Thailand is spearheading a joint-visa program with countries, including Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Vietnam, that collectively hosted 70 million tourists last year. Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin aims to attract more long-haul and high-spending travelers by discussing a Schengen-style visa concept with his counterparts. The single-visa initiative would enable seamless travel within the six Southeast Asian nations and generate more revenue per traveler, ultimately benefiting Thailand's economy.
