2 teens killed, 2 others hospitalized following I-40 crash in Asheville. A single-vehicle crash on Interstate 40 in Asheville, North Carolina, resulted in the death of 16-year-old Sophia Gordon from Charlotte and 19-year-old Robert Fox from Wilmette, Illinois. Two other students from Charlotte Catholic High School are in critical condition at a local hospital. The vehicle, traveling at high speed, lost control on the off-ramp of Exit 53B and hit a tree.
