Spirit Airlines has agreed to defer all aircraft on order from Airbus, originally scheduled for delivery in 2025 and 2026, to 2030-2031. This decision is expected to improve the airline's liquidity by approximately $340 million over the next two years. As a result of these deferrals, Spirit Airlines plans to furlough approximately 260 pilots starting September 1, 2024.
