Robert Downey Jr. indicates openness to reprising Iron Man role in future MCU projects.

Robert Downey Jr., who played Tony Stark/Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, expressed openness to reprising his role in the future. In an interview with Esquire, Downey called the Iron Man role "too integral a part of my DNA" and praised Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige. While Iron Man's death in Avengers: Endgame was not to be retouched, the possibility of alternate universes or time travel could bring Downey's character back to the MCU.
