Rio Tinto appoints Bold Baatar as new Chief Commercial Officer, succeeding Alf Barrios who is retiring. Baatar, currently head of the copper division, will lead Rio Tinto's commercial and business development activities globally, including a $6.2B investment in the Simandou iron ore deposit in Guinea. Baatar will relocate to Singapore and take up the role on September 1, 2024.
