Rapper J. Cole apologized for releasing a diss track against Kendrick Lamar, titled "7 Minute Drill," during a live performance at his Dreamville Festival. Cole admitted that the track was a mistake and expressed regret for participating in the back-and-forth with Lamar. The diss track came in response to Lamar's song "Like That," which took shots at both Cole and Drake. Cole has since removed the diss track from streaming services and praised Lamar as one of the greatest rappers.
