NCERT issues warning against unauthorized publishers selling pirated textbooks under its name.

NCERT, India's education advisory body, has issued a warning against unscrupulous publishers who have been printing and selling its school textbooks under their own names, without permission, in violation of the Copyright Act 1957. Publishers found using NCERT content without permission may face legal action. The public is advised to avoid such pirated textbooks, as their content may be factually incorrect and not aligned with the National Curriculum Framework 2023. NCERT encourages publishers who wish to use its name in their publications to send a proposal to its Publication Division.
