700MW Zungeru hydropower plant in Nigeria has entered the testing phase, announced the Federal Government. The $1.3 billion project, located in Niger State, has been connected to the national grid, according to Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu. Once completed, it is expected to generate 2.64 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, accounting for approximately 10% of Nigeria's total domestic energy consumption.
