Multiple Madison County fire departments are battling a large brush fire located near Sharps Cove Road between New Market and Gurley. Firefighters from several communities, including New Market, Hazel Green, and Harvest, are working on the difficult terrain and heavily wooded area. No structures are threatened and there have been no reported injuries, but the fire could last into the morning.
