Four men were jailed for 52 years after armed police stopped a minicab in Deptford and found a loaded gun and three large knives. A proactive investigation, Operation Chanco, led to the arrests of Jamal Francis, Jarell McKenzie, Gregton Bower, and James Rowland. DCI Lewis Sanderson praised the seriousness of the men's offences, saying the arrests could well have saved a life.
