Malaysia's industrial production grew 3.1% year-on-year in February 2024, with slower growth in manufacturing at 1.2% compared to 3.7% a year ago. The mining sector saw accelerated growth at 8.1%, up from 5.0%, while electricity production increased by 10.9%. However, industrial production declined by 6.3% on a monthly basis. Malaysia's unemployment rate remained steady at 3.3% for the third consecutive month, with 567,000 unemployed people.
