Malaysia's Pahang state converts Ramadan food waste into organic fertiliser, aiming to reduce wastage during the Muslim holy month. A mobile machine at a park in Kuantan processes 25 kg of leftovers daily, converting them into nutrient-rich fertiliser. The initiative started as a pilot project last year and helps to decrease the amount of food sent to landfills, which increases significantly during Ramadan.
