Labour criticises New Zealand Government for lack of priority towards disabled communities. Minister for Disability Issues Penny Simmonds reportedly delayed a report on progress against international obligations for disabled NZers. New Zealand signed the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in 2008, but the government has not prioritised this issue.
