Former bank executive Christodoulos Patsalides appointed as Cyprus central bank Governor, succeeding Constantinos Herodotou.
Former banking executive Christodoulos Patsalides has been appointed as the new Governor of Cyprus's central bank, succeeding Constantinos Herodotou. Patsalides will take up his role on April 11, becoming a member of the European Central Bank's Governing Council. The appointment follows Patsalides' role as special adviser on economic affairs to Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides since March 2023.
