A container ship, APL Qingdao, lost propulsion near New York City's Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge on Friday night, just 12 days after a cargo vessel crash in Baltimore. The US Coast Guard received a report and the ship regained propulsion, with the assistance of three towing vessels, before safely anchoring north of the bridge. The ship's system was fully operational before it safely departed New York Harbor.
