Maren Morris, a country music artist, did not attend the 2024 CMT Music Awards despite being nominated for CMT Performance of the Year. She explained on her Instagram stories that she would be in New York City for her book tour promoting her new children's book, Addie Ant Goes on an Adventure. Morris was nominated for her collaboration with Hozier on his hit single "Take Me to Church" for CMT Crossroads.
