A child died and two adults were hospitalized in a car crash involving a semitruck in southern Idaho, police say. The driver veered into oncoming traffic, colliding with the semitruck. The child, in a child safety seat, died at the scene. The driver and a passenger, both wearing seatbelts, were taken to the hospital. The semitruck driver, also wearing a seatbelt, was not transported to the hospital. The highway was closed for six hours as the crash remains under investigation.
