Pat McDonagh, owner of Charleville Park Hotel in Co. Cork, has dismissed rumours circulating on social media that the hotel plans to close to the public to accommodate international protection applicants. The hotel, part of the Só Hotels group, will not be used to house asylum seekers, McDonagh confirmed. He believes the claims, which also called for a boycott of his fast-food business, were posted with "malicious intent."
