A California man, Shalin Amin, was arrested by the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office for his role in a $100,000 precious metals scam targeting an unsuspecting homeowner in Luling, Texas. The homeowner, who believed he was contacting customer support, received a package containing the valuable metals and was instructed by the scammer to expect a pickup. Deputies intervened and arrested Amin on charges of money laundering between $30,000 and $150,000.
