BJP MP Pragya Thakur, a prime accused in the 2008 Malegaon blast case, is advised bed rest by doctors due to her health issues. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) submitted a report to the special court stating Thakur's doctor advised her to take rest. The court allowed her plea for exemption from personal appearance for the day, but directed her to remain present from April 20 for recording her statement.
