Auckland's Great North Road was closed due to a car-pedestrian accident in Point Chevalier suburb, leaving one person with critical injuries. The road remained closed while the Serious Crash Unit investigated, and buses were detoured. The incident took place around 5:35 pm between Point Chevalier and Huia Roads, and the injured person was taken to Auckland City Hospital.
