8 April: China Foreign Exchange System sets central parity rate of yuan at 7.0947 to US dollar.

On 8 April, China Foreign Exchange Trade System announced central parity rates of the Chinese currency renminbi (yuan) against 25 major currencies, including a strengthening of 2 pips to 7.0947 against the US dollar. The central parity rate of the yuan against the Hong Kong dollar and other currencies is determined based on market rates and exchange rates.
