3 apartments damaged, no injuries reported in a fire believed to have started due to an electrical shortage at a Battle Creek apartment building on 111 West St. Firefighters arrived at the scene around 10:22 p.m. on April 6, and extinguished the fire, which spread to the second floor, causing a sprinkler to activate. The American Red Cross was contacted to assist displaced residents.
