Air India and Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL) are collaborating to develop Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport as a premier aviation hub for Southern India. The partnership aims to enhance international flights from Bangalore, improve operational efficiency and passenger experience, and establish a comprehensive maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility at the airport. It is expected to generate over 1,200 new job opportunities and stimulate the MRO ecosystem in Karnataka. Air India and Tata Group airlines, including Vistara and AIX, will strengthen their presence at the airport through an expanded network.
