48-year-old Torii Hunter has joined the Angels as a special assistant to the GM. He previously interviewed for the managerial position, which went to Ron Washington, and expressed interest in managing in the Majors. However, he wouldn't seek a full-time position due to business and family obligations in Dallas. This is Hunter's return to the organization, having played for the Angels from 2010-2015.
