Power outage in Jasper caused by a tree falling on Entergy line; repairs may take until early Sunday morning. A tree fell on a power line next to an Entergy substation, impacting power to the entire city. Extra patrols by off-duty police officers have been called in and Mayor Anderson Land urges caution when using candles, lanterns or generators. Entergy must replace the pole and restring the conductor before power can be restored.
