HDFC Bank and LIC were the top gainers, with their market valuation rising ₹76,880.74 crore and ₹49,208.48 crore respectively. The BSE benchmark rose 596.87 or 0.81% during the same period, reaching an all-time high of 74,501.73 on 4 April. The top 10 valued firms included Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, Infosys, ITC, and Hindustan Unilever, with the latter six facing losses in their valuation.
