Singapore MOM and police deny advising Bangladeshi worker's employer to deport him after harassment claim.
The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and police in Singapore have refuted claims that they advised the employer of a Bangladeshi worker, who has worked in Singapore for 16 years, to deport him. Md Sharif Uddin, the worker in question, was allowed to remain in Singapore as the police investigated whether he was a victim of intentional harassment. Uddin had claimed he lost his job after informing his employer about harassment from illegal moneylenders.
