The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar against the CPI (Maoist) in an anti-India conspiracy case. The raids targeted 11 locations in Ballia district, Uttar Pradesh, and one location in Kaimur district, Bihar. Digital devices, such as mobile phones, SIM cards, and memory cards, along with incriminating documents like pamphlets of the proscribed Naxal outfit, were seized during the searches. The NIA had previously taken over the investigation in the case, which involved the arrest of five individuals following the recovery of arms and ammunition, incriminating documents, literature, and books of CPI (Maoist) in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh.
