The Maitland Mustangs started their NBL 1 East season with two big wins against the Newcastle Falcons (109-72) and Inner West Bulls (101-79). Standout player Will Cranston-Lown scored 30 points and 6 rebounds in the first game, followed by 23 points in the second. The Mustangs women also secured a win over the Bulls (81-49) with four players in double points and three players with 10+ rebounds.
