Lagos police arrested a dismissed Nigerian Navy officer, Muhammed Tunde, for allegedly impersonating a serving military officer and charging N20,000 to assault residents. Tunde, dismissed 24 years ago, continued to parade himself as a naval officer. He was apprehended while beating a hotel staff, a job contracted to him by a hotel customer who refused to stop smoking in a 'no smoking' area.
