Enforcement Directorate uses refrigerator and smart TV invoices as key evidence in money laundering case against ex-Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren.
Enforcement Directorate (ED) uses invoices of a refrigerator and a smart TV as key evidence in a money laundering case against former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, who allegedly acquired 8.86 acres of land worth over Rs 31 crore illegally. The ED obtained the receipts from Ranchi-based dealers and attached them to its chargesheet against Soren and four others. The refrigerator and TV were bought in the name of Santosh Munda, who claimed to be living as a caretaker of Soren's property on the said land for the past 14-15 years. The ED is using Munda's statement to counter Soren's claims of having no link to the land.
