Chinese drone maker EHang obtains China's first autonomous passenger drone production certificate.
Chinese drone maker EHang Holdings Limited has obtained the first production certificate in China for an autonomous passenger drone, a milestone in the global electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) industry. The certification from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) allows EHang to enter the mass production stage and advance commercial operations for its EH216-S passenger-carrying, pilotless electric aircraft.
