Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced a $2.4 billion investment in the country's artificial intelligence (AI) sector as part of the upcoming federal budget. Out of the total funding, $2 billion will be allocated to computing and technological infrastructure for AI research and companies, while $200 million will be directed to AI technology in other sectors through regional development agencies. The investment aims to create good-paying jobs, raise productivity, and grow the economy.
