Statistics Canada study shows students with special needs in BC less likely to graduate high school. After controlling for socioeconomic factors and academic achievement, students with intellectual disabilities were 21% less likely to graduate, followed by students with behavioral needs or mental illness. The study analyzed graduation rates of 10 students with special needs and 10 without.
